The owner, Kim Lawrence (aka, "The Tapelady"), earned a marketing degree from Texas A&M University in 1982. Kim began her career selling tape to other businesses in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Through that experience, she developed her expertise in adhesive tapes by studying the products and how well each performs in various uses and what customers liked and didn't like about what they used. She also has attended many training classes from major tape manufacturers, such as 3M.
